Volunteers are needed to uproot and exterminate the quickly spreading and very invasive Dreaded 'Himalayan Balsam Plant’ from the riverbanks at Ladywell Fields next Sunday. Bring your own Dalek, but all over equipment will be provided
The reason for this urgency: It suffocates other plants, leaving river banks bare in the winter and prone to erosion.
Please meet at the classroom on Sun 8th July at 10am-1pm. Bring-your-own picnic and games afterwards.
All waders will be provided. Children welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
