Yesterday evening (Tuesday) Steve Bullock and I attended the ceremony for licensing of the new priest at St Swithun's church in Hither Green, Rev Jane Kustner.  She did say that she was very keen to get involved in the life of the local community and I'm sure that there's lots that she could do (especially as she trained as an accountant before entering the priesthood).  Hope to discuss this at or after my surgery in St Swithun's this Saturday (between 11 and 12, 1st Saturday of every month).

The only bit of bad news was from the priest at St Saviour's in Lewisham Town Centre who said that last night the lead had been stolen from the roof of his church and the roof was leaking  I just hope that St Swithun is kind over the next few weeks.
