Once again...

just a little sign.

At the moment I'm really lazy although there is not so much to tell. The last three days the weather was very comfortable here in Germany, but the days before where a period of heat and the worst, humidity. So I red a lot and spent a lot of time in the Middle Ages with in between older mystery stories. Margaret Frazer, Candace Robb, Kate Sedley and last but not least Celia L. Grace have captivated me into the old England. Some of the series I could complete as much as it's possible more books had been written but never came out in German.

Now it is much better, so I started knitting once again. A tender Lacescarf for the birthday of a dear colleague was started, and a few evenings ago, when I couldn't need Laceknitting while watching TV I started a pair of socks.

No photos at the moment but I'm sure, they will follow.

Projects

I didn't get so far with the SBMs as I was hidden by the readings virus. Nevertheless I can show you some pictures.

With SBM I (inbetween of Clue 10) and the Rainbowshawl I had a needlechange and of course I used it promptly:

The Rainbowshawl has grown since then again. A good project while watching TV and yesterday in the train, when it was again a Friday in Hamburg with my girls. I was so much fun and together with the dear Gesche I made a short visit at the Wollboutique from whom I read often at Tichiro.

Does anyone remember 'Primavera'. It layed a long time aside here, knitted from Melody for a dear friend, who unfortunatly wasn't able to attend for a longer time our Friday get-togethers. Yesterday the scarf should come with me and so it was washed on Thursday and blocked over night.

The only thing I really wish are stainless needles with bigger heads. My poor finger!

My friend loved it!

I wish you all a nice weekend!

PiF

I received my PiF-presen from the dear Diana. A fantastic parcel with loveable things, a belated birthday present and beautiful changed yarn.

But the present from her is a beautiful dream made of feathery Melody and I am very happy about it (of course also about the other things):

It his so nice to have such dear manic friends. THANK YOU!!!

Not nice...

I know, but I have to confess that I have neglected my English blog for several reasons (my German blog too, but not so much).

In the last week of June, Arne and I spend fantastic four days in Spain, in Catalonia. We had a real nice Hotel in Girona, rented a car and saw so many new things in that time. We bought back a lot of nice photos and I plan to write a little report about that trip and show you some of them, but at the moment I have not really the energy for it.

After this trip I came to the decision, that I really want to change my GERMAN blog (or better start it new) to wordpress. I did it at the moment it works real fine.

Of course I never stopped working on my crafts. Here are the finished items: I send away all my parcels for PiF and I'm happy to say, that each recipient was happy about it. Here are the craft items, I added a few other things.

Photobucket
On the left: Pot Cloth made of Anchor Magic for Gesche In the middle: Mittens made of Schachenmayr Denim for another Bianca On the right: Cat's Paw Shawl from a yarn from Anett for Judith

For a dear friend one pair of sneaker socks

Colores
C. Schurch, 'Little Box of Socks' 'Roman Rib'
Bärenwolle with Cotton

and a third pair, too

Photobucket
Waldbeerencocktail
a bit changed Double Lace Rib from C. Schurch ‘Regenbogenmelodie’ from Wolldrachen, with Cotton

And the last finished item is another pair of Pot cloth, they will be a present for a friend I will meet on Friday.

I will show the status of my current projects in my next posting. The photos are still on my camera at home. At the moment I turned also a bit back to my other big hobby, reading. Unfortunatly I have some new and very fascinating books at home... right now it is one from Tad Williams.

Faster than expected...

a new entry and pictures. It seems, that it is the card reader, but in between I connected the camera directly and this works at the moment.

So here are the finished projects:

Rosengarten 'Rosegarden' (for my Moms birthday)
Roman Rib (C. Schurch, 'Little Box of Socks')
Linenmixture from Kirsten 'Handgefaerbt'

Chrysopolis
Pattern and Yarn Garn (Merino-Lace) from Monis Klabauterwolle

Another pair of sneaker-socks has been finished yesterday, but at the moment there is no picture. I will hand it in later.

As I wrote yesterday, the 'Sanfter Engel' will become Moms Christmas present. I stopped at the half:

And later I will continue SBM1, here is the picture after the fourth clue:

New yarn moved in. From Anett/Selavi

And then I couldn't resist when Sheepaints announced Jewel-Colours and a new quality (Bamboomo).

Incidentally this is also at the moment my motto, although there was this 'Who-are-you-and-what-have-you-done-with-the-German-soccer-team"-Match on Thursday. I hope, the guys will not become (much more) careless and change their mind, so it will be a much more better match tomorrow.

Sign of life

Unfortunatly today absolutly without pictures, because at the moment I'm not able to get the pictures from the camera to the PC. Now I have to find out, if it's once again a PC-problem or one of the reader

So now short (the kitchen is waiting):

The shawl for my mothers birthday will become a Christmas present.
But I knitted her a pair of sneaker-socks plus some Swiss Franc, and she was very happy.
Chrysopolis has been finished today.
Slow Bee Mystery 1 is now at Clue four. I will continue tomorrow and hope to finish soon five and six to be again up-to-date.
PiF (Pay-it-forward) is nearly finished. Gesche got it personally, the sendings for Bianca and Judith will leave on Monday.

Have a nice Sunday!

It's the weather

The early summer is back, I spend a lot of time outside and not in front of my PC here. But of course I also collect photos to show them at once.

New arrivals since the last entry:

A bit from the Wolldrachen...

From the Woll-Lust (I plan to knit birthday scarfs for my girls at the company)...

From Jannette two other lace-yarns...

And last but not least a new fantastic lace-yarn from Schneeschaf...

From the socks-front I have to report this:

Kuramanthi
C. Schurch 'The little box of socks' -Faceted Rib Socks-
Handgefaerbt Summersubscription 2007

And new 'Colores'

And even the timeconsuming projects grow:

Slow-Bee-Mystery 1 after Clue 3

Chrysopolis after part 7

Both projects are in a break now. The reason: My Mom 'complaint' on mothersday, that she has so many beautiful scarfs and shawls from me, but all are only winterproof. And so I startet yesterday, after receiveing the neccessary materials, this project and I hope, I can finish it until Sunday.

I named it 'Sanfter Engel' (gentle angel) after a dessert in restaurants, which contains Orangejuice and vanilla ice cream. The colours of the yarn match perfect to this name.

So, now I have to make a little Weekend-Shopping and then I will go to the balcony.
I wish you all a nice weekend!
