Blog update

I've been busy update the Playing With Myself and Other People Too blog. www.20six.co.uk/sowhat

I'm aiming to fully update the site and fix a few of the issues with it. I'll try to add all the images that have been sadly lacking over the last months mainly due to not being able to access the site via a working PC. I'm aimaing to clean up the catergories so that I can start doing hardware / accessory reviews. First one will be "Mic check, 1, 2, 3, 4, a review of current methods of chatting via PS3.

I now have weekly access but I'm aiming to little bits at a time such as adding links to 1st plays and reviews for games that I own. This may require some cross linking between these two sites as I orginally starting a gaming section on this blog which is where the name came from.

Feel free to contribute or add and suggestions you think that would improve the site then let me know.

About bloody time...

Today myt PS3 received a firmware update and it seems to mean I can finally log back into this blog. So I'll try to post the previuos VDJ sets when I get the chance. I didn't do a set at the usual time on Thursday due to being very busy Warhawking.

Social Networking saved my life...

Not really but it has improved my life no end and given me some rather strange yet wonderful news.

As you may be aware I've been playing a fair bit online with our PS3. After a rather chatty game of Resistance: Fall of Man a group of us decided to creat the Laark ABout! Clan and enter the on going Clan-Wars.

Just before I shut down I received a message asking me what "Has a Jin Tatto meant on my profile. I explained to Flashback that I'd done a film for a comp to win a PS3 from PSM3 magazine. I directed him to the youtube site.

The next day I got in from work and received a message from Flashback asking me if I knew I was in PSM3 this month? I didn't and asked what he was on about to be told that the "No Pain, No game" film had been mentioned.

On saturday I went out and bought the mag to discover I'd come third. Not bad at all for a first effort.

Close up. "Enigmatically known only as Connor" I think I've just found my obitury.

This has given us the encouragement we needed to start to get the rest of the films done and also a place for them to be sent.

I think it's amazing news and I would never have know if I'd not been chatting to gamers via our PS3.

This catergory has never been so apt...

Check out www.20six.co.uk/sowhat For the latest on my PS3 exploits. Videos coming soon I promise. But just a quick note to say I've finally had a lot of play online mainly with Resistance: Fall of Man. I've actually started winning games and it runs so well. Started chatting to people using the Eyetoy as the MIC & the Surround as the output. Which works quite well. So I've talen the plunge and splashed out £20 on a Bluetooth headset. Not had chance to have a proper go with it yet. I also managed to come 4th in an online GP. Which is a brit of a strange game to play as the other drivers just pass through each other, like ghosts. This may just because of some settings. The Playstation Store isn't bad but is missing the PS1 games for PSP which all the mags are going on about. I've also been using youtube in full screen with the browser. It's lead to some amazing finds such as stuff on Home, LittleBigPlanet & PSP modding. More to come, and vids soon.

So I've managed to get a PS3 and on release day no less. Without a need to preorder or anything.

Finally available for all to see and comment on....

I know I'd promised to share this video with you ages ago but I've been waiting to hear back from a competition it was entered for. Sadly it doesn't look like it won but let us know what you think.

Was it worth the wait?

Introduction by me:

"No Pain, No Game"

So what do you think?

Im trying to make a portal...

No not the kind that allow you to travel through space and time just a simple site that I can point my PSP at via Wi-Fi Infrastructure.

Sadly I'm not able to test it at the moment but I'm aiming for the site to work as a PSP online guide. Including reviews of games and demos.

If you've got a PSP and can access a wi-Fi Hotspot then point your browser at www.mypsphomepage.com/gb/vdjomb

Feel free to let me know what you think it's still in it's infancy but should be rather useful when I'm finished with it.

Also see the comments in the entry below for a hint as to what the password is for the films site.
